Do you feel like every week there’s some band your “eccentric” co-worker/friend is trying to turn you on to? Are you confused as to which band with the word “wolf” or “horse” you’re supposed to like? Lucky for you, every week DJ Father Guido spends hours in his lab sifting through bits and bytes of hipster blog entries and indie magazines searching for the finest aural pleasures available. Then the Father compiles them here for you to enjoy in the comfort of the Donnybrook Campus. When will indie kids finally embrace hip-hop? Maybe when they hear this weeks Snobcast, featuring:
If that's not enough I've got chic hipster-hop ranging from M.I.A. to the Hood Internet Project to Chuck D guest rapping with The Go! Team and that Kanye/Thom York freestyle.
Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip have carved in stone the indie commandments in their first single "Thou Shalt Always Kill." So who are these hairy kids from Essex? Well to me they sound like Eddie Argos fronting Datarock.

Blueprint brings us back to 1988 on his single "Boombox." Notice the timely lyrics.

"Some cats decorated theirs with hand styles and stickers
I decorated my piece with Polaroid pictures
Extra bass boom so you know I ain't frontin'
Tinted deck with a missing pause button
A pocketfull of tapes from the latest mix shows
With one in the deck 'cause the door won't close
I might get it fixed when I get some cheddar
Auto-reverse, one side sounds better
My pulse meter pulsates when I play my jams
My equalizer got 32 bands
This cat try to battle, he didn't know me
I drowned him out with my tapes on Dolby
Plus, I only had the volume on 5
God forbid, he really woulda tried to get live"

"You Are The Blood" Castanets.  Simple lyrics/beautiful noise. About Castanets:
Dreaming/Not Dreaming. Yeah, I would say dreaming, but definately awake at the end.

"A Wolf at the Door. (It Girl. Rag Doll.)" Radiohead. This song is really just here to warm you up for that freestyle I promised you. However, it seems Radiohead have finished their new album, In Rainbows, which will be available Oct. 10th. You can pre-order here

"Buffalo Tears" Gil Manteras Party Dream. Check out this great band T-shirt (Left). Get one here.

"Strike 2" DJ Shadow. The Shadow is always good for those random audio excerpts. Apparently the Shadow has a personal imprint he uses for funk and soul reissues. The imprint, Cali-Tex Records, just released their yearly project, "Pieces of Peace."

"Help" Lil' Wayne. This man is the hardest working guy in music today. He has probably set the record for most mix tapes ever recorded. Not only has he surpassed 2pac as far as material, he's even redone some of the Original Thug's songs. This man is obviously crazy, but when I heard this beat I knew he was also a genius. I know Wayne is trying to top Jay-Z. With this song Lil' Weezy even tops the Grey Album.

"Us Placers" Kanye West feat. Pharrell & Lupe Fiasco. I don't really have anything more to say that hasn't been said recently regarding Kanye's quest for indie rock cred. It is weird though right? Since when did hip-hop guys start looking for acceptance from skinny-pantsed rockers? Oh I guess that happened when Andre started shaking his Polaroid picture and calling himself Johnny Vulture.

"Alfie" Lily Allen. Lily might be getting a Woodie. Yup, that's right, the Woodie. MTVU's phallic award is given to those bands that college students have listened to the most all year. Well it seems to me that the MTV franchise still has one respectable channel.

"Taxi Driver" Gym Class Heroes. Gym Class Heroes have been n
